SINGAPORE – Sixty-year-old Lana Cakes, famous for the Chocolate Cake that has graced countless birthday parties in Singapore, has come up with a new way to eat the cake.
Lana-To-Go is that iconic cake packed into a jar and the first new product the business has launched in about four years.
Mr Jason Kwan, 59, son of Lana founder Violet Kwan, 97, says: “It’s something new, a novel way of eating our cake without needing plates or knives. You can eat it in a few sittings. It’s something to take to your friends and family overseas.”
